This morning Charlie’s buddy Lucas is over to play. A few minutes ago, they were sitting across from each other at Charlie’s little table, each with a sippy cup and a bowl of snack crackers. I looked over just in time to catch them making faces at each other. Charlie put his hands under his face, palms against his chin, fingers outward, in an “I’m so sweet and innocent” gesture. Lucas responded by covering his face with his hands and then smiling mysteriously. I couldn’t help but laugh. It was too quick to snatch a photo, but here’s one from snacktime a few weeks ago:
They play so well together: they share, they work alongside each other, and they’re both hardcore, rough-and-tumble boys who are perfectly happy with a ball in one hand and a matchbox car in the other. So it’s great fun.
All day long I’ve had every intention of adding to this post. But night has come, and I have a good chunk of proofreading to finish up before bed. So any and all further updates will have to wait.
As my mom would say, “Night’all!”
